
Below are possible issues that may sometimes occur with the mobile app and steps to take in order to resolve them. If you continue to experience problems after trying these solutions, or have a problem not addressed below, please reach out for support or use the “Report An Issue” option found in the mobile app menu drawer.
The app won’t update or the app tells me I’m still not using the most current version and I can’t login.
This can be caused by your device failing to release data stored in memory from the previous app version. The app heavily utilizes local device storage to keep track of status information, jobs, and job tasks for both on and offline usage. To make sure, you can either try clearing the app’s memory cache, or completely remove the app and all related legacy app data by following the steps below.
Before completely uninstalling/re-installing the application, first try clearing the installed applications cache using the steps below.
For iPhone Users
- From the Main Menu, Sign Out and close the HiredHelpr application (be sure any started jobs are submitted or saved).
- Open Settings.
- Tap General.
- Tap iPhone Storage.
- A list of all the apps on your iOS device will load. Find and tap on the HiredHelpr app.
- Tap Offload App to remove the cached app storage from your device.
- Tap Reinstall App to re-install the HiredHelpr app.
- Open the HiredHelpr application and Sign In.
For Android Users
- From the Main Menu, Sign Out and close the HiredHelpr application (be sure any started jobs are submitted or saved).
- Open Settings.
- Tap Apps & notifications.
- Tap App info.
- Find and tap on the HiredHelpr app.
- Tap Storage.
- Tap Clear cache.
- Open the HiredHelpr application and Sign In.
If you are still having issues try completely uninstalling/re-installing the application.
For iPhone Users
- From the Main Menu, Sign Out and close the HiredHelpr application (be sure any started jobs are submitted or saved).
- Open Settings.
- Tap General.
- Tap iPhone Storage.
- A list of all the apps on your iOS device will load. Find and tap on the HiredHelpr app.
- Tap Delete App to remove the app and all related data from your device.
- Go to the Apple App Store and install the latest version of the HiredHelpr app.
- Open the HiredHelpr application and Sign In.
For Android Users
- From the Main Menu, Sign Out and close the HiredHelpr application (be sure any started jobs are submitted or saved).
- Open Settings.
- Tap Apps & notifications.
- Tap App info.
- Find and tap on the HiredHelpr app.
- Tap Storage.
- Tap Clear data and/or Clear cache.
- Go back to previous view and tap Uninstall.
- Go to Google Play and install the latest version of the HiredHelpr app.
- Open the HiredHelpr application and Sign In.
I can’t access the “Forgot Password?” link in the app to reset my password.
If you cannot reset or change your password from the app you can also visit https://app.hiredhelpr.com/forgot-password on your mobile device or computer to request a password reset. Simply enter your account email address in the form provided and follow the instructions to set a new password.
The Main Menu is blank when I open it.
Intermittent reports have occurred that the Main Menu displays no content when opened; usually after an initial install or update. Should this happen, simply close and re-open the app/stop and start the app. Once the app has been relaunched the Main Menu should display correctly again.
